Information for Our Patients

Patients insured in Austria

The Sportklinik Arlberg is a private medical facility. We do not have contracts for direct billing with the Austrian statutory health insurance providers or with Austrian private health insurance companies. At the end of your treatment, you will receive an invoice from the Sportklinik Arlberg. After payment, we will be happy to submit the invoice to your Austrian statutory health insurance on your behalf so that you can receive a partial reimbursement of the costs.
Based on our experience, a portion of the costs for the services you receive at the Sportklinik Arlberg will be reimbursed, depending on the type of service provided.
For MRI examinations performed in the private practice (“Wahlarztpraxis”), no reimbursement is provided by the statutory health insurance. For amounts not reimbursed or only partially reimbursed, please submit the invoice/fee to your accident insurance or private health insurance.

Patients insured abroad

The Sportklinik Arlberg is a private medical facility. We do not have contracts for direct billing with foreign health insurance providers. At the end of your treatment, you will receive an invoice from the Sportklinik Arlberg. After payment, please submit this invoice to your statutory health insurance and/or your private health insurance, travel insurance, or supplemental insurance in your home country.
Based on our experience, depending on your insurance status, your insurer in your home country will reimburse part or approximately almost of the invoiced amount.

Payment methods

We accept cash, ATM card payments, debit cards, and credit cards.

Invoicing

After your treatment, you will receive a detailed invoice. After payment, please submit it to your statutory health insurance and/or your supplemental or private health insurance in order to receive reimbursement.
For outpatient treatments, you initially cover the costs yourself before receiving reimbursement from your insurance provider.
For surgical procedures, we are happy to handle the billing directly with your supplemental or private health insurance, provided that we have received a confirmation of cost coverage from your insurer.
