Surgical procedures at the Sportklinik Arlberg are performed under general anesthesia or regional anesthesia.
Many of the operations listed can be carried out on an outpatient basis, meaning you can leave the Sportklinik Arlberg on the day of surgery.
Depending on your condition, an overnight stay might be necessary.
Shoulder surgery & joint-preserving surgery
Dr. Dominik Knierzinger, PhD, is an experienced orthopedic and trauma surgeon. As a senior consultant at the University Clinic for Orthopedics and Traumatology in Innsbruck, he performed the full range of acute orthopedic and trauma procedures. Dr. Dominik Knierzinger, PhD, specialized in shoulder surgery and minimally invasive joint surgery. He has performed numerous surgical procedures on the shoulder and knee, including minimally invasive surgery, tendon repair, fracture management, joint replacement, and revision surgery. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Dominik Knierzinger, PhD, conducts research on the shoulder and knee joint.
Hand surgery & joint-preserving surgery
Priv.-Doz. Dr. Peter Kaiser, PhD, is an experienced orthopedic surgeon, trauma surgeon, and sports medicine specialist. He is specialized in the conservative and surgical treatment of injuries and conditions of the hand and wrist, as well as in minimally invasive joint surgery. Thanks to his extensive experience, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Peter Kaiser, PhD, offers modern and gentle treatment methods. In addition to his clinical focus, Priv.-Doz. Dr. Peter Kaiser, PhD, is also active in scientific research in the fields of hand surgery, knee surgery, and tennis medicine, and is involved in the training of surgical medical stuff as well as physicians.
